There is a method to writing scripts for television & film, an approach that will help you write compelling scripts that are impossible to stop reading, a method that will make you write well consistently. This screenwriting workshop will stimulate the writer in you to not only write scripts well but also enjoy the process. The mthod will motivate you to write your first screenplay or complete one. Example scripts and clips will be used from a variety of films as well as the instructor’s own work. So no more excuses, let’s write!
Students will write and develop their own material in class and receive scene by scene analysis based on the fundamentals of screenwriting. Peers from the class will perform and workshop these scenes. Every student will be allowed to workshop scenes either from their screenplay or random scenes that they wish to write in class. Writers get to see their scenes performed and directed as a way to further enhance the development of the work. Writers may use this conservatory to develop scripts that they have been working on or start the process on a whole new script.
This is a 5-week workshop. The registration fee covers all sessions.

Yuval Daniel An accomplished writer, actor, director, Yuval has been writing, directing documentaries, docudramas and feature films since the 1990s. A student of the craft, he has written eight feature screenplays, including TEDDY BEAR, which was made into a feature film and was broadcast on Super Channel. He has written and directed a web-series sitcom entitled A Bet’s a Bet and was creator of Tele-litte, a docu-drama series for TFO – in French in which he adapted and directed 10 episodes. Yuval has also directed a doc series for History Channel entitled Scandal Then & Now. He was commissioned to write a dramedy feature film for Grasshopper Productions which is now in development. For the last ten years he has been teaching screenwriting and directing one-on-one to emerging screenwriters as well as directing classes at Raindance Toronto/Montreal. See Yuval’s IMDB profile here.
