Description
Graphic design is all about visual communication. Through shapes, colour, typography, and illustration, we tell a story. But how often do we consider what story we’re telling the world about who we are?
This course is both practical and creative in scope. Using Google Slides and Canva, participants will learn to use page layout to communicate personality in a way applicable to their everyday lives, whether they are students or professionals. These skills are critically-overlooked tools which everyone can benefit from developing.
The workshop is comprised of lecture, presentation, and critique, and will culminate in a final presentation on personal branding. Each class will cover a different practical form—from mastering the art of the CV to poster creation, logo applications, and Powerpoints, as well as the specifics of concept, text alignment, hierarchy, and grids.
